I researched the Toronto area for retirement homes tirelessly. I visited many of them with and without my mother. The atmosphere and environment at The Claremont was far superior. The residents and staff at The Claremont seemed far more friendly, positive, helpful and happy than at any other establishment. I believe that comes from the top and spreads downwards. My kudos to Natalie Coppolinto, who is the resident chief. She shows thoughtfulness, caring and empathy.
The activities are plentiful enough that one may always partake of a fitness activity and a cognitive activity in a daily basis. A wonderful attribute here is the food. My Mom was always a good cook and found many of our guest meals st other places mediocre. She praises the chef at The Claremont frequently.
I actually do not have anything negative to say about The Claremont, yet... I do not expect to either.
I had short term rehabilitation convalescent care after hip replacement surgery.(three weeks)
The care, kindness and efficiency is exemplary.
The Executive Director, Lynne, is hands on and aware of ones personal needs after surgery.
The staff were efficient and happy and it radiates throughout the residence.
I will happy to recommend The Clairemont.
Absolutely top notch.
Great chef who meets with the guests and plans meals according to their wishes. Great food.
