I often bike ride through the park and far in through along the bicycle path which lead you from one side of Toronto to the other. It feels nice there as it allows an escape the congestion and noise of the Downtown core yet while still within. A place where you can find some serenity due to the never ending sound of nature and running water off the river. Very peaceful. I recommend it to and for all!
Lots of snow today. Still enjoyable. Although it's way better in the spring and summer. Check it out you may like it.
One of my most favorite spots in the city!! Love it here. What a view. Love it on summer nights, but also on snowy days when it makes for a GREAT tobogganing hill. Went for a mini hike through the trees and found a teepee someone had constructed from branches. Some mornings I’ve seen a group of people practicing tai chi which was awesome.
Riverdale Park is a little paradise in the middle of Toronto! And offers one of the best views of the city.
People passing by in their busy routine and can take 10min to breathe and appreciate the view....
It doesn't matter which season it's. That's a place for those who love to appreciate life, at least for a little moment.
If i went to this park there would be three things i want to do, and I believe it would allow you to picture what it would be like to go there. I will go there and enjoy the ultimate down-town-Toronto-skyline view, play sports, and sit and socialize. it is situated on Broad-view Street, and it is part of River-dale park. It is profoundly popular, especially for soccer players and baseball players, to play on and visualize playing on. It is a place for anyone to be physically active and show their positive aspect of sportsmanship. Simultaneously, you can take pictures of scenes of skyscrapers and common spaces that are mesmerizing and powerful. In this park one can see the link between nature and humans, and watch the sun go up or down beautifully. You can take pleasure in breathing fresh air and unwinding( releasing your tensions you may have).Therein are people, nature, and man-made structures, and you will be expected to have a glorious experience. There are playgrounds and washrooms available, which will be convenient if you have a family with kids. I would highly recommend you go when the sky is clear and the sun is out in order to get wonderful experience. However, the winter time is also not bad, if you are well-dressed for the weather, you can go slide down from the top of the hill there down on a sled. It will be worth going there, your will not regret it.
