Fun place - a little overpriced IMO, but I understand it has to be sustainable - I would rather see a per hour rate, instead of a per visit rate, as sometimes it would be nice to pop in just for the odd game, and not pay a cover charge that someone pays who is staying for 4 hours. Food wasn't bad, and the game people are very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place for first date type outings, but as I said for myself to go with my wife, we don't want to make an entire night of it - it would be nice to see options for pricing.
They have great mac and cheese.. the kettle chips are literally like plain potatoes chips with dip.. I wish they could put actual nacho sauce on their nachos, they don't! Overall it's a good way to play games with your friends. Its also very warm inside, so dress accordingly
Just a few minutes walk from Eglinton station which makes it a convenient place to get to. Just like the other Snakes and Lattes locations in Toronto, this location is no different in their collection of board games. Decent selection of food and drinks if you decide to stay for the long haul. This location is good for groups and good if you decide to come alone if you want a place to sit, drink coffee and get some work done.
Love this place! If you're looking for a cool place for fun times with friends I recommend Snakes & Lattes. With board games and card games galore, open concept decor, good food, drinks, and coffees plus awesome service you can't go wrong. Took a friend here for her birthday at the 45 Eglinton east location and it was a blast. Our server Shawn was awesome as well!!!
Came here with four of my friends and receive really friendly service. The space in Midtown is spacious and the games are well protected. There are two game libraries and the selection is good. The nachos was big in portion and reasonable given the price. The loaded poutine was decent but not as good as the nachos. The nachos had jalapenos, radish, sausage, and green onions. It was very filling for five.
