A true community park. Decent tennis courts, baseball diamond and great farmers market on Mondays. There is a good playground across the street for the little ones and Ideal Coffee a block south.
I really feel this is a hidden gem of Toronto's West End and it's in no doubt due to the farmers market here with a top notch selection. Love having picnics here in the wide open space.
We go around with my wife and my dog exploring the world, currently Toronto with all its cool neighborhoods. We found Sorauren Avenue Park by chance, it looked cool, we got out of the car. Walked around and realized this urban park has something. Nice use of the space, love the graffitis at the back, it has a dog park, which is Awesome and it has some cool old looking industrial buildings with lots of texture giving it a nice artistic atmosphere. To top it up you can see the CN Tower. Looking forward to see it at night.
Nice park + basketball court. Awesome graffiti / art by the basketball court and one side of the court is pretty well lit for evening play after dark.
On a sunny afternoon, this place at 6pm in late August is a slice of heaven. Just go, tomorrow. Vibrant but not busy. Enough green space for all types of activities fast or slow. Soccer field, tennis courts, or just sitting in the sunshine. Up to you.
