Used to go there but now still close due to covid19..its an uniquite experience in Toronto...Very brutal building due to its architecture but what is inside is just wonderful.. It had an incredible resource and special collections... Absolutely astonishing...
Arguably one of the most fascinating libraries in Canada, the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library houses the Rare and Special collections of the University of Toronto. The library strives to preserve these collections while making them entirely accessible to the public – any visitor may request to personally view and handle the library’s holdings
Stunning library like none other! Glad I could enjoy such an experience this past weekend for the open doors event.
If you're looking for a unique experience in Toronto that is FREE, head over to the University of Toronto and find this gem. It's one of the most impressive rare book libraries in the world with floors and floors of old books. It's beautiful to photograph and you can have any of the old books brought to you to read through. It's definitely a unique experience!
