Great wildlife sanctuary. Have seen corn snakes muskrats many different songbirds in the swampy areas leopard frogs bull frogs and red salamanders
Had a great ride through the park. Tons of open space to keep a distance from people (during the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020). Seems like a nice place if you like bird watching as well, lots of areas marked for birdwatching
Beautiful for a bike ride and to enjoy this hidden nature reserve. Make it to the end and climb hill for a great view from the light house!
I love the fact that this natural reserve is man-made. A somewhat tranquil retreat right in the city. More could be done to slightly spruce it up like better paths, nature plaques, garbage disposal. But it's a great place for a nice bike ride.
Tommy Thompson is fantastic. A quick getaway from urban Toronto and a great place for running, biking, hiking and walking the dog. I come here multiple times every summer and it’s always fun. The Lighthouse itself isn’t in the best shape, it’s got graffiti (the bad type) all over and there’s lots of litter surrounding it. Last time I was here I had a spare plastic bag and my wife and I cleaned the area a little bit.
