Beautiful yummy food!
Roshi Henderson has become a great influence in my life. He has opened up new channels to new posibilities in this thing we call life. Truly greatfull to have him around, as well as rest of the members in the Toronto Zen Community.
My first experience here was the Introductory Workshop on Zen nearly three years ago. Since then I have been practicing here and I am incredibly grateful for the guidance of Roshi Henderson, the support of the Sangha, and of course the practice and teachings themselves. I would recommend the Introductory Workshop to Zen, and/or the regularly scheduled Metta/Loving-Kindness 6-week course as a great way to get introduced to the Toronto Zen Centre.
My Partner and I took both the 6 week Metta course and the Intro to Zen Workshop and enjoyed them both thoroughly. Roshi Henderson is a kind and insightful teacher. All volunteers and fellow students were lovely and respectful. We took away some profound insights about ourselves and felt this centre was the most authentic and good-spirited centre we've tried. Making meditation habitual is difficult, but these courses are great tools to get you started.
Not great vibes. staff asked me not to drink water because it will offend the statue of Buddha.
