Nice store but the lack of prices on anything leaves room for someone in sales to tell you a certain price.....Only to find out you were overcharged when you do a cost comparison. (Ex: Told the price on "X" aeg was on sale this week for $450, get home and see it on the website for $430 and it was no sale). My bad....
Staff is cool and very friendly. They seem very knowledgeable but I now question this: A while back, I bought a non FET or ECS equipped VFC and on their recommendation, I bought an 11.1 Lipo (peq style) to go with it. After questioning if this aeg could handle it, I was reassured it wouldn't be a problem. I later learned the reasoning behind my damaged trigger contacts, perhaps they were out of 7.4 peq style batteries?
Long story short, double check your receipt (got dinged an extra $35 for an unknown item) and check the online prices if shopping in store. If you find something off later, they won't respond to their e-mail's.
Props to them though for the 10% mil/police/emt discount though. Certainly made up for some potential overcharges at least.
UPDATE (01/June/19) - While the overall inventory is lacking ( just like every other Canadian airsoft retailer atm) a big focus on customer service seems to be the new standard.
Placed my order around 4:30pm thurs, got it the next morning and free shipping over $300.
Found some great deals on harder to find parts (i.e. - Where else in Canada are you going to find a heavy duty, high quality PSOP/SVD style scope already attached to a side mount that makes my other 2 $30-$35 Kalish style side mounts seem like junk. Very impressive, near real steel quality for $160?)
I hope to see a replenishment of inventory soon as this was hands down my favorite airsoft shop and with my most recent order after a long hiatus, they will very likely take that top spot again.
Thanks again guys
I shop online all the time and at several airsoft stores. These guys have a wide selection of inventory, and shipping is quite reasonable (about a week for me). Most places take 3 to 6 weeks to get to you. I had to reset my password and the employee was helpful, professional and easy to deal with. They even sent free patches! Give em' a chance and go with airsoft depot.
Order from them online. "Airsoft candy shop" is a pretty accurate slogan. Lots of accessories to choose from, at a good price and very reasonable shipping cost!
Prices are alright so is the variety/stock. Service and staff are sketchy at best. Good for gear dont trust their guns.
Great for answering questions. I went there totally new to airsoft, they guy took his time for me and the kids to ask lots of questions. Didn't buy anything as we wanted to walk out without a purchase on purpose. Looks like a lot of selection, both rifles and pistols. He does repairs which is good to know and see. I went here right after going to Gear Up Airsoft,. this place seems to have a lot more variety, taking their time to figure out which gun would work for my smaller boy.
All kinds of accessories and things for modifying your gun. Ill be back again for sure, most likely leaving with something. lol.
