Give it a four star, deducting one star because first of all city should have included a child care centre and secondly they opened this play area when most of the summer is about to get over and it's going to be closed in the winter
Nice place. Well constructed. You can skate or sit and read in Toronto library.
Great rink. When we were there there wasn't many people. Fun music. There's a couple skating aids around for weak skaters. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be returning soon. Pic of my 4 yr old having a blast!
It's a great place to relax and there are picnic tables around the fountain. Also the Toronto Public Library is very close by. If the idea makes it feel appealing.
It's going through some renovations right now. There is construction continuing on the stairs leading up to Scarborough Town Centre, and throughout the centre field between the YMCA and condos. The rink is well taken care of. It's still nice to see free outdoor skating in the heart of Scarborough. It's unfortunate that the snack bar inside the change area doesn't open anymore, but it's understandable considering the low foot traffic. Having it open during March break would have been nice.
It's an older city square, being the old city hall of Scarborough, but it's nice to see their trying to keep it functional and up to date.
