I LOVE THIS PLACE! The owners make your visit worthwhile with the wonderful way they make your food. It's a CASH ONLY restaurant but that should stop anyone from coming in for the BEST Fish&Chips you'll ever taste! Home cut fries baby!
Excellent value, menu considerably wider than most fish&chip shops, several salad choices so you don't have to have chips with your fish
This place has been serving the same food from the time of the very first owners. Not great but its comforting and nostalgic. Not sure if anyone else notices but that ain't halibut baby its fish
This is one of the most truly cozy mom and pop restaurants in Toronto. The ambience is perfect and doesn't have the artificial tag off authenticity which most other family owned restaurants purport. The fact that only cash is accepted here is a proof to this. And as far as the seafood and the souvlaki are considered, the fish and chips is worth every cent. Made fresh and with care, the service is more personal than anywhere else in Toronto.
I have been going to this place my whole life. In the 80s and 90s, it was Christopher's Charcoal Pit. Anyone who grew up in the area would look at this restaurant as an institution- especially if you lived in the Curran Hall-Cedar Ridge area. The have not changed it much over the years. I come for the nostalgia, and also the great food. Burgers and Fish and Chips are as good as anywhere in the city.
