D2 Auto Sales

The car I had bought from here a few years ago, and it has finally run it's course and I am scrapping it for a new one. I definitely got lucky and got my money's worth out of the car but I would advise caution when buying here. I'm not going to attack the salesperson's character as maybe he was having an off day.

When I inspected the car it had severe rust under the body, electrical problems(Key fob was not functioning due to an issue with the computer),the power locks were not functioning, the car alarm system was faulty and the lines running from the leads to the battery had suffered from corrosion and the brakes pads and rotors were clearly worn. He had one of his locksmiths perform an operation on the car to correct the car alarm issue, but when I tried to contact the locksmith who did the 'repair' to ask what was done, he was tight lipped and refused to talk to me unless the original salesperson was present on a 3 way call.Thankfully the salesmen was willing to lower his price after I pointed out the vehicle flaws, but was very clearly agitated when I asked him why he would advertise a car with features that are not functioning but still expect me to want to pay the advertised sale price.

The car was sold with a safety, and I was told it would be further inspected.After I had put my deposit down and left the lot and came to pick it back up later on, the car was still in the same spot, with the exact same problems. I took it to be personally inspected and there was absolutely no way under the circumstances it was sold to me it would have passed a safety. I was very tempted to contact the ministry to have them deal with this, but given the fact this seller had positive reviews, I decided to let it slide out of compassion. The car had a few problems years later that were easy fixes for myself and I will say once again it has served me well. Even though my car buying experience here was not great, I do applaud him for lowering his prices respectively to accommodate SOME of the problems the vehicle had.

The only thing I would say to any buyer shopping here is if you do choose to buy from him or any used car dealer for that matter, make sure you take it directly to the dealer and have it inspected further either before the purchase of the car(if he will allow that) or after the purchase.
