Brand new outdoor skating rink and path in the winter - with a building to sit, warm up and change your skates. In the spring to fall a great playground, and grounds for soccer cricket, paths for walking and learning to ride bikes.
Spacious park with 2 full sized soccer fields, 1 gazebo, benches, lots of greenery, and small attractions for the kids (slides, swings, etc). It also has sufficient parking.
Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation hosted a pop-up Rink Social at this site on Feb 23/24, 2019. Very well done and plenty of activities for all ages. Great venue for skating. They have an outdoor rink and a skating trail at this location. There is also a indoor area were you can lace up your skates and store your gear. Washrooms are available. Love this location.
I really like the new skate trail at the park. I'd never been to this nearby park until the trail opened. The heated changeroom next to the trail is well appointed and fully set up for walking around with your skates on (rubberized floors extend into the bathrooms). There is a drinking fountain/water bottle filling station. Bring your own snacks and thermos. The trail itself isn't terribly long but it's been thoughtfully designed. It's a loop with a garden in the centre with plants chosen that have winter appeal. There are benches and landscape rocks around the loop to sit and take a rest. There are also skating aids available for learning skaters. The rink gets flooded 4x a day, according to the posted sign. Plenty of free parking. No skate rental. Enjoy!
