My wife decided to buy some gold and after checking a few of the larger sellers, like silvergoldbull.com, JM Bullion, Sprottmoney.com and Kitco we decided to buy here because the premiums were indeed lower! They don't seem to have larger than 1 oz wafers so if you're looking for larger bars you might find premiums that are lower somewhere else but for the Oz wafers this place can't be beat. Aside from that, dealing with Raj was a pleasure.

I usually don’t like doing reviews for a place that’s not a food spot but I had to share my thoughts on the level of customer service I received by this precious metals dealer in the east end. I was looking to sell off some old jewellery that has been in the family for decades but I was very hesitant to let it go as I did not want loose a lot money on it. I ended up taking it to Star Gold Refining (I did not know they even did this), the owner explained the whole process of what they do and how they can use my old gold to make whatever I want or use it towards a purchase of ounce bars. The owner was very knowledgeable and treated me with respect and did not force me at all to sell anything. He explained what he can do for me while keeping the value still high and ended up getting a few custom pieces done for my family as well as purchase a gold bar so that I wouldn’t have to go through the trouble of having to refine the gold again. He was kind enough to even throw in a 1 ounce silver coin. The gold bar as well as the silver coin both came with paper work so it can be sold anytime with no issues. He was very generous in offering a service like this so that I wouldn’t be stuck in this position later on down the road. If you’re ever looking to refine, purchase gold as well as loan money on some gold, look no further. I would highly recommend you use Star Gold Refining for all your precious metals.

Great place. Siva, the owner, is a no nonsense guy who will give you fair market prices for his gold. Convenient hours and not stuck up. His X-ray machine will tell you he sells the real thing. Very relaxed and not intimidating.
