Sushi Nishinokaze is truly a hidden gem in uptown Toronto/Scarborough. Do not let the "ghetto plaza" location stop you from enjoying the amazing food.

From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with the cozy and intimate setting. Our host Hitomi-san was very friendly and she made sure everyone's tea was warm and refilled throughout the meal. Sous chef Brandon was attentive and helped to ensure everyone's plates always had the pickled cucumber and ginger to cleanse the palate.

Chef Vincent was really knowledgeable and you can tell he is truly passionate about what he does. He was a little shy at first but we got to talk more during the dinner. He explained to us how he has been making little adjustments to the menu and even down to how he marinates the rice and fish since the restaurant's soft opening, to guarantee every single customer leaves the restaurant physically and emotionally satisfied.
This was hands down one of the best edomae sushi omakase experience I've had, and I look forward to returning again in the future.
