Wonderful selection of colourful high quality French textiles and gifts with a warm and friendly owner. I am so happy with the fabric I purchased to recover sunroom furniture and also love my foutas and beach towels. Lovely to have a little bit of France here in Toronto!
Quality fabric and craftsmanship unsurpassed in North America. I loved my outdoor front porch curtains and cushions and I've really enjoyed all the compliments from passers-by and neighbours. I commissioned an outdoor lounger and bench cushion late in the season but, now that it's snowy, we mostly sit at our dining table and sigh at the boldly beautiful Basque stripes of our table runner. We dream it's summer again and we look forward to seeing more from Evelyne, the wholly exceptional artisan owner.
Beautiful French textiles and a friendly, helpful owner. This is the perfect place to get something covered or add a pop of colour to your home. I love having this in my neighborhood.
We will keep coming back to Maison Basque as we have fabric needs. Evelyne was knowledgable, friendly, and patient as my daughters and I peppered her with questions in building a tablecloth for my wife's birthday. She unrolled countless bolts of fabric and sent us home with multiple samples to try in situ. When we finally decided, she finished the piece in 2/3 the time she quoted. The tablecloth is beautiful and well-made. It has been on our table every day of the last two years and has easily withstood countless stainy meals, arts and crafts, homework, cats learning to climb, and even a little light dancing and still looks brand new. Thank you thank you Evelyne for brightening our lives with this beautiful creation!
Evelynn and Maison-Basque are a delight! It is a fun and creative place to visit. I had a couple of cushion covers made and bought a delightlful carry on bag which I really enjoy.
Go and visit "France" on Jane St.
