My Maltese friend brought me here in the 80's!!! So glad it still exists. I live outside Toronto, but I drop in every 5 or 10 years when I am in the neighborhood. Love the pastizzis?
Service is blah, but its convenient for after church.
This place is fantastic!!!! Have you tried Pastizzi? It's the national snack of Malta and you need it in your life, but Malta is far away so just come on over to Dundas St W and immerse yourself in this little slice of Malta.
It's very outdated at the bakery with most of the decor, photos and press clippings from the 80s-90s but if you want some memories of Malta come here. It's the last bastion of what we generously call the Little Malta neighbourhood in Toronto. The pastizzi tastes authentic. I lived in Malta for 2 years and this was a nice reminder of the time we had there.
Great little café! It is real nice and different. There is a family atmosphere. Service was great and generous. We had a mix of sweet and savory. The coconut and jam cake was very good. The spatizzi are very good and cheap (1$ each). Just be aware it's cash only or e-transfer. I recommend this place for the uniqueness and the warm welcoming atmosphere.
