Smile Back Bed and Breakfast

This was some of the sweetest people we have met in Toronto. Beds were comfy.. place was clean.. had breakfast stuff.. felt more like a home than a hotel. Great stay.. highly recommended!! The comfort Inn in Pickering.. left us stranded at 10pm.. got to the hotel with a confirmation and pin number in hand. The staff were rude. The smile back was so welcoming and so empathetic to our situation..

I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms are looking a bit worn (could use some paint) and breakfast is not cooked for you. This is a "self-serve" style bed and breakfast. You have a private room (with a lock) and share the living, dining, and kitchen with three other guest rooms. Two bathrooms and two shower rooms are shared by the four guest rooms. You cook your own breakfast using the food provided in the kitchen, but the staff clean the dishes and kitchen after. The kitchen had bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, tea, coffee, milk, and jam while I was there along with lots of pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. The kitchen was clean, bright, and well-stocked.

If you go in expecting a "self-serve" style bed and breakfast, this place is definitely comfortable! it was clean - the sheets were fresh, the bathrooms and showers were spotless, and the kitchen was cleaned multiple times a day. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The internet service was absolutely fantastic (I was able to attend a 4-hour tele-conference meeting with no problems). For $40.00 they will shuttle you to the airport, which is less than the cost of a cab.
