“It's been part of the zoo for years and has outlived the zoo's 'monorail' (remember that?). While the zoomobile is still safe and still an enjoyable ride, the equipment desperately needs an upgrade for ease of access for those with or without mobility issues. It be cool to also get vehicles running on some eco-friendly propulsion system like electric or hydrogen since other zoo vehicles seem to have already gone this way. You know what else needs an upgrade? The jokes of the tour guide at the back! I don't ever want to hear the one about 'the driver closing their eyes since they are scared of heights when driving on the iron bridge above the gorge' quip ever again... thankfully we heard some originals the last time we were on so change is happening, thanks zoo staff!”

“Small zoo with a dozen or so different animal types. In the summer, Saturday mornings are a time when they allow visitors to pet and feed the lamas and hold rabbits/chickens. The other animals are on display but not available to pet/touch (unless they come up to you at the fence)”

“Toronto Zoo is such a magical place esp for the kids..can not say how wonderful this place is..come for yourself and be immersed in great work they do for all animals here and those that aren't. Best place to spend quality time with your family or even by yourself. Buy a zoo pass and become a frequent visitor and supporter of this place..great staff and volunteers help make this place even more special. Save an animal shoot a poacher????”

“Second largest land animal in the African continent after the Elephant, the White Rhino is larger than the Indian Rhino located close to the entrance of the zoo. Its status has been upgraded to 'Near Threatened' as populations have been increasing which is a great sign that the ban of horn poaching has made a difference. Their horns are made of keratin, same stuff that comprise human hair and fingernails.”

“Enclosure seemed small and it had two bears in it. Great info about the Grizzlies here too. The name Ursus arcos horribilis which is loosely translated as horrible bear. Over 300 kilos and runs as fast as a horse over short distances”
