When we started envisioning how our new house would look, we wanted to keep the theme of openness, brightness and clean and modern lines. We knew we wanted the elevator to not only follow that theme, but also be a central focal point as you walk into the main entrance. We called on Cambridge Elevating to help us think outside the box (pun intended). They listened to our unique design requirements and immediately were on board to making our vision a reality. In 2011 we were building a new house and just prior to then I had back surgery that limited my walking. My wife insisted we have an elevator. We Contacted Cambridge and they installed an elevator as the house was being built. This past winter I was doing some renovations to our cottage which included an elevator. I was so pleased with their work in our house that I didn't call anyone but Cambridge . They didn't let me down. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff installed an elevator with glass front and back and my builder, McAulay Construction, installed windows to match. You look over beautiful Lake Muskoka as you ride.

My experience with their residential elevator is excellent. Five years since the install and no issues have arisen..... Very reliable

Cambridge installed an elevator in our home recently. During the installation process (multiple visits), there was absolutely no communication with the homeowner. The elevator broke down 5 days after installation on a holiday, and no urgent technical support was available. We have a disabled individual in the house and Cambridge did not even respond to multiple phone calls or emails. We ended up hiring an independent company to troubleshoot the elevator. Highly disappointing after-sales service. Would strongly recommend either a different company, or outsourcing service to a separate contractor.

In follow up to this review, the service manager reached out, visited, and was very helpful. He assures me that the after-hours situation should not have occurred and has been rectified.

Just moved into new house with Cambridge elevator.
withing using 1 week, the elevator button is no longer working. "Emergency" door does not open using access tool. Thank God there was no one inside. I am very concerned of using this elevator (Especially after reading one of the reviews).
Add: Jason came in and was able to fix it. He was quite helpful and spent more time to assure the quality.. I will reserve the further reviews as I start using it more.
