Simply put, people go here for the meat counter and the bakery. The selection of in house baking, meat and cheese is unparalleled in the city.
However,
If you're trying to do a big grocery run encompassing all types of groceries you will need to be a little accommodating. It's a compact store with minimal frills.
Bonuses are the hot and cold food bar to go selection.
(February 27, 2019, 11:04 pm)Best grocery store in Cambridge with a selection of European specialties. Their meat deli counter carries numerous types of ham that you cant find at your typical zehrs or no frills. They recently renovated and now also have a hot food corner serving the standard fare of potatoes, fries and meat dishes. Their bread is also freshly made and always sold out by the end of the day.
(February 22, 2019, 9:16 pm)It is nice to go into a store owned by a local family. They had their own Bakery, which is very good. They also have started offering organic produce at very competitive prices.

We decided to not go out to eat on Valentine's Day and rather we went to di Pietro to pick up some items and made a fabulous dinner together from all of our favorites they have there. We were safe and cozy during the snow storm with happy tummies
