It is great that you can easily donate clothing and small household items without having to haul them off yourself. It makes getting rid of unneeded items a lot easier if you do not have access to a car or are disabled and it goes to a good cause.
As for the people annoyed by the phone calls, you can ask to be put on the "Do not call List". As annoying as it is receiving the calls remember these are real, local people having to make the calls.
Honestly shocked by some of the negative reviews. I love that I can put all the clothes and small house items that we no longer use and give it away to be reused. They pick up the items as they say they will with no contact. I just leave it on my front porch. I've always had polite people call me to let me know that they'll be in my area if I have anything to donate.
