华香楼 Chinese Restaurant

There are just so many good things I want to say about this restaurant, it's definitely in the ranks of the top 3 Chinese restaurants in the KW area. The restaurant isn't as busy because it's a bit further away from the university area where most Chinese students are. The owner and his wife are from North Eastern China and their dishes are as authentic as it gets in terms of the regional variant of Chinese cusine they serve.
Their specialty 石锅鱼, shown below in the photo, is a fish cooked in a boiling pot.

The food is always amazing and they are very friendly. They don't speak much English but if you point to the picture of what you want in the menu your gold

This place was tasty, it's just a little cheap joint in downtown Kitchener with good people as the owners. My only issue was the food had a little too much salt, maybe ask them to put less salt but overall tasty stuff. Maybe takeout next time, the ambiance was nothing too special.
