I had Colin out to inspect a house we are planning to purchase from a family member. He did an AMAZING job, and we are extremely happy with his services and the price seemed very fair. Colin was friendly, knowledgeable, gave us great advice, and answered all of our questions. We are first time buyers, and in my opinion, Colin's service was above and beyond what I was expecting from a home inspector. I would 100% use him again in the future and recommend to others.

I recently had a home inspection referred to me by my mortgage broker. Colin was already at the house doing his inspection before my realtor and contractor showed up. Every aspect of the inspection was performed with a high degree of professionalism. Colin took the time to explain each and every item in as much detail as you requested and with a solid explanation that took into consideration best practices and Ontario building code. The inspection was extremely thorough and if you didn't understand something described, Colin took the extra time to go over it as many times as needed. It took 3 hours to do the inspection and I never felt rushed. If I found something in the house that was of the slightest concern I could just ask and Colin always had a helpful answer. Within 6 hours after the physical inspection Colin provided me with a detailed report of everything we covered. This is a good reference as it has age of equipment and when it needs to be looked at, like a forecast. I also sent a follow up email on something that the insurance company asked and Colin came right back with an answer. His knowledge of his trade was impressive. I brought my contractor who has been building houses for the past 20 years and he is not an easy individual to impress and when we left he said he was very pleased with the house inspectors knowledge and how professional he was. Coming from my contractor who pays attention to all the details and will call out anyone who doesn't know what they are talking about, I was happy to hear his feedback. To me it was money well spent, I paid $450 all in and was happy to do so because I believed there was value in Colins services. From his inspection we went back to the home owners and they dropped the agreed on purchase price by $2,000 which was about the estimate for the must do repairs. I would certainly use Colin again in a home inspection, I wouldn't consider another service provider as I think its going to be difficult to do a better job than the one Colin did.
