Wow. This place is beautiful. What a great time we had walking the trails, looking at the great scenery. We took some family pictures, which turned out to be the best backdrop for any picture for any occasion. Best place to get away from your busy life and just relax and enjoy!
Favorite walking spot to go with my dog. I enjoy coming in the morning and evening while it is not too hot. The park has clearly laid out paths and trail markers, two or three of them would probably be considered accessible as they are on gravel/asphalt. The play area is really neat, washrooms open at 9am, and the park is kept clean with a good amount of garbage disposals and open spaces. Trails go through woods, a natural meadow, and by ponds. A good place to explore or go for a run.
My go-to spot to walk around. Trails through the forest are long and fun to explore and see something new every time you go. Dog friendly. Interesting playground concept, although I think one part is closed for maintenance. Some shade tarps were put up recently. Great for any time of year. It's fun to slide down the hills on the trail when it ices over. There are many trees that were recently felled by beavers, but I haven't seen a beaver yet. Bathrooms are closed in the winter. Bring bug spray.
Great little nature area tucked away on the far corner of Kitchener, has some interesting old Barn ruins, and lots of conservation efforts for local bird and small animal species. Very fun and well-designed natural playground at the front of the park as well. Please always remember to Fred lightly and be respectful when visiting.
This natural area is absolutely beautiful and you can tell it's well taken care of by the staff. The staff (thanks Sarah!) that were working with our kindergarten class were absolutely lovely and really have a gift for working with kids. Lots of activities, a great play area for kids and they're mindful of the sun with lots of shade implemented by the playground. Loved it - definitely will be back!
