The park needs TREES and more benches. There should be shaded areas for the older dogs.
Best place to run the pups endless trails if you wanna explore lots of water for pups to swim also
Usually pretty clean, nice area, owners that come here follow the rules, haven't had any aggressive dogs in the area yet
Nice and clean location. They cut down all the trees for some reason; maybe to make it feel bigger and easier to find your dog. Some owners don't pick up after their pets so watch out for land mines. There's lots of parking for you and your furry friend. It's right beside a big public kids park. Please don't bring your dog here if it's not properly socialized. I've seen some gnarly dog fights. Not the dogs fault just bad owners.
This was our first time here, and I was mostly impressed. This is a medium-sized park with mostly flat terrain. There appears to be wood chips spread over the whole park, and there are some bushes to explore as well. There are lights, but we were there in the day; people say it's not overly bright at night, though. There was a frozen pond area that was fenced off, as some people complained that it was muddy (in winter).
A couple of items to note, and also why I didn't give 5 stars:
First, there's a huge hole that appears to have been dug up by a dog. This could cause serious injury to dogs and people if they don't see it.
Second, there is a large gate (for access by maintenance vehicles, I assume) that has large gaps. It will stop big dogs, and medium sized dogs may have to wiggle a bit to get through, bit smaller dogs could easily walk through or under the gate.
We will definitely return, though I hope they fix the problems I mentioned above. If not I will contact the city - I understand they act on users' requests, as mentioned above.
