Hogg installed our new AC and Furnace. Pricing was fair and the equipment adequate to out needs rather than 'up-sold' to more expensive and unnecessary equipment. The installers were efficient and respectful of our home. A minor adjustment was understood by the person on the phone and attended to same day. The high-efficiency American Standard equipment is extremely quiet and balances temperature better throughout the house. Very happy with sales and service.

So the we had our AC and Furnace replaced by Hogg.

First the Good:
1. The installation is very neat and is very clean.
It works well in the space and we gained some few inches in our basement with the new installation.
2. Overall the temperature distribution of the house is better with the new installation.
We have several half flights of stairs in our house and before you could feel the temperature change with literally every step. Now its more consistent throughout the house.
3. I was impressed by the knowledge of the sales person (Jason) since he had years of experience working with HVAC installation. When we were looking at the catalogue, he gave us the option for each installation rather than like three options.
4. With the new unit our electricity usage has been cut in half and we keep the furnace fan running. We barely hear the furnace when it is running.

Now the Bad:
1. Emails bounce back, even replying to emails they sent.
At the time of the quote all of the details were written down on some loose leaf paper which was left with us, which is fine. However when I tried to email Jason a copy my emails kept getting bounced back. I found that when I was trying to reply to emails sent by different Hogg representatives they would frequently bounce back.
2. Quote and Purchase Agreement Issues (double check ALL items on the Purchase Agreement before signing)
Unfortunately I made the mistake and assumed that after making the specifications that it would be installed accordingly. I was told that I would get a new 1" rack, but they re-used my old one. They charged me for a new 4" rack when I specified I wanted to use a 1" one. Still waiting on getting credited the amount and its been several weeks now.
3. Incorrect Fan speed and Air in the Refrigerant lines
After installing I was hearing noises coming from the Condenser shortly after they installed it. I called to ask for someone to take a look at it and it was a week until someone could come in. They told me that the furnace fan speed was low (420 when it should be 600) and the refrigerant needed to be topped up. I see this as an issue because we just had the installation done and there were some issues with it.

What a fabulous experience today with Greg from Hogg! He was early, had parts on board, was super fast and even reminded me to wash my hands because I touched his pen! Above and beyond! Thank You for your kindness and for getting my house cooled down again! Greg my friend, You rock!

I had great service from Hogg when my furnace died in the middle of last winter. They were quick sending someone out to give me a quote and provided me with space heaters to use to keep warm while I waited the few days until it could be installed. They had very reasonable prices as well after comparing other companies.
