Well managed office, appointments run pretty well on-time (at least they have the times I have been there!). I find Dr. suhail to be very precise, and very thorough. He's not a hand-holding warm and fuzzy type of doctor - he's pretty abrupt and to the point, which is fine by me. He was able to treat my swelling immediately the first visit, and had some very practical suggestions at my follow up appointment - none of which were pain meds. (not against pain meds at all, just appreciating that it's not his immediate go-to).
I am grateful for Dr. Suhail!
Posting this review on behalf of another person without online access. "Dr. Suhail listened carefully to me, and was thorough, careful and kind. I appreciated that he took time with me, listened to my concerns and developed a meaningful treatment plan to help me manage pain. He gave me a detailed printout to understand my condition better and explained everything well. Everyone there was lovely, from the receptionist to his assistant to himself. I feel like I had excellent and compassionate care at a time when I really needed it. "
I personally found him to be very helpful. He wasn't overly thorough, but he was precise and took the time to address every concern to the extent that was clinically indicated. He referred for any needs outside of his expertise, and referrals were to professionals well suited to each of my needs. He gave his suggestions for treatment without judgement, and was wonderfully up to date on his understanding of each diagnosis he gave and the treatment or management options available. He supplied me with resources and prescriptions that were in line with my preferences for treatment, and made sure I understood what to expect from each one. His reports were well written to allow for easy future reference and follow up care through my GP, and he was very clear on what signs or symptoms would warrant reassessment in future. Reception was kind and communicative, in spite of being clearly very busy, and allowed me to see him for a follow up reassessment some time after my initial diagnostic consult without issue.
Honestly, he might not be for every patient, as he does prioritize the care of those who really need his help most, and he encourages patients to take an active role in understanding their needs and making treatment decisions. He's a wonderful rheumatologist though, I'm always glad to have his expertise and support when I need it, and I love that he clearly values the effort I put in to managing my care. I felt very respected and I'd vouch for him any day. His diagnoses have been absolutely life-changing for me and I think he's great.
Dr. Suhail is the only Dr. that was thorough enough to find what is wrong with me. I have been suffering for 6 years and now have to use a walker and no one would give me answers until now. I am so happy i was sent to see him even though it took a year to get in
I finally know what i have and able to treat it the best possible way. He treated me with respect and listened to what i had to say.
