Nice ambience, lots of students, well connected by buses and an ion train, has a cycling track/trail running nearby
A train station is not something you would usually recommend, but the sculpture is interesting.
Ion stations as a whole, are in quite inconvenient locations unless you are downtown, or traveling down King Street, especially since busses used to come so frequently down this route, that the train doesn't really save too much time..? What is convenient is even if you miss a train, another one is coming so soon, that it isn't nearly as big of a deal as when missing a bus. It is maybe a little too easy to simply get on the train however without paying, and let me express to anyone how bad of an idea this is!! Although you may get away with it from time to time, the security jumps on and off trains randomly, and so frequently that you are almost certain to get caught almost as much as you don't, and the fines are soooo high, that if you consider the money you save not paying really doesn't stack up even remotely to the money you will end up owning in the long run. The trains are very punctual and very easy to board and unboard with whatever luggage you may have with you. On a whole, I believe in time, industry and commercial facilities will grow up around the existing train lines, and will continuely get more beneficial and convenient.
This station, like all LRT stations, are clean and nicely laid out. The ticket vending machines are occasionally not operational, but are mostly very good. They should be kept clean of old tickets and receipts so new tickets don't get lost. The LRT is an efficient and easy way to travel in Kitchener-Waterloo.
