Luther Village on the Park

Luther Village on the Park is a hidden jewel close to downtown Waterloo next to Waterloo Park. One of the main reasons we choose to move here was because of the excellent fitness facility with a swirl pool. We’ve lived here for almost two years and besides the outstanding accommodations, we have found a wonderful sense of community, making many new acquaintances and friendships which have enriched our lives. During the recent pandemic the staff acted responsibly and we felt safe and well taken care of. We appreciate that decisions which affect the residents are dealt with democratically. So grateful for the privilege of living at Luther Village.

I am so impressed with the manner Luther Village is dealing with the COVID-19 situation in keeping their residents safe. While it must be a stressful time for everyone, staff have stepped up to the extra responsibilities of delivering services to their residents in a very caring and respectful manner, ensuring that their needs are met. Residents I have contact with acknowledge that staying isolated is challenging but understand its importance. They are grateful to be where they are and appreciative of the caring staff that are going above and beyond to take care of them.

I've been a resident of Luther Village for almost five years and I am proud to tell people I live here. It is an excellent Retirement Community where the "Community" part of that label is very real. The Independent Living section of Luther Village is ideal for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. It's easy to get to know other residents, and there are numerous resident-run activities in which to participate. Luther Village staff members foster and support that community spirit, and provide quality maintenance of the physical elements. The spacious and well maintained grounds are the envy of other retirement homes, and proximity to Waterloo Park is a major bonus. During the recent COVID-19 epidemic, Luther Village has worked very hard, and with amazing success, to ensure that residents and staff are all well protected. If you would like to live in a first-rate Retirement Community that actually feels like home, Luther Village on the Park may be exactly what you are looking for.

I was fortunate to be able to visit my mother in February 2 weeks before quarantine. Enjoyed good food and excellent service from Martins. The staff is wonderful. Everyone greeted my mom by her name and took a moment or two to chat. The grounds outside were well maintained and we were able to go for walks not having to worry about slipping and falling. It’s good knowing she’s living at a great place

During this trying time, Luther Village has been wonderful. We believe they were proactive in their protocols regarding covid 19.
The staff are extremely friendly to the residents and visitors. They value the residents input and have tried to give them options of activities to do in their rooms.
The meals are delivered timely and include a balanced diet.
My family has nothing but praise for the staff at Luther and feel so fortunate that our mother is there being well taken care of and listened to.
