  I first checked this shop out 5 years ago when I bought my used 2001 FORD 7.3 PowerStroke diesel pickup truck. Recently my passenger side exhaust manifold connection at the up pipe starting leaking because the two retaining bolts were completely rusted through. I pulled up to the shop without an appointment late on a busy Friday afternoon and asked if they could take a quick look.
  
  Even though he was busy, shop owner Kyle Dechert took the time to crawl under my truck and check things out. He said he thought they could simply remove and replace the failed bolts without replacing the up pipe too. I was pleasantly surprised with his opinion because replacing bolts would be a simpler and cheaper approach if it worked. I'm happy to say, they did the work as described and the exhaust leak is fixed.
  
  I also asked them to replace the two bolts on the manifold/up pipe connection on the other side too. In the end, they did not saying although they too were rusted badly, they were holding fine and should for a couple more years. They went on to explain the manifold on the other side was in much worse condition and they feared if they started working on it, it might crack and then the replacement/repair expense would climb very quickly. Many shops would have gone ahead anyway ... just to generate the extra revenue.
  
  I feel very confident in recommending Kyle Dechert's Diesel & Auto Repair shop. He and Nathan seem to be straight shooting, honest people who really know their diesel and automotive trade. They deliver their work when promised and perform their work at a fair price. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you Kyle & Nathan.

  Kyle and Nathan are hard working, honest mechanics. They want every vehicle they see to leave better than it came in. They service my diesel truck and honda civic. Vehicles aren't cheap but they provide the best value for your dollars.

  Had two bearings go while on a long distance trip. Was able to look Decherts' up, call and was responded to right away. The owner made time to get my truck in, fixed in a very short period of time, for a very reasonable price. 10/10 would break down in Elmira again!

  With out Kyle and Nathan I would not have my 2004 fully built wrx sti. They have helped me out in so many situations I can't even count. The best car/diesel mechanic around I highly recommend these guys they no there stuff.
