Kumon Math & Reading Centre

I never write reviews, but after only 2.5 months my child is starting to feel confident academically. She is only in Grade 2, but I knew she was struggling in Grade 1. The teachers always said she was 'fine.' With COVID, I enrolled her in Kumon at the end of June. Yesterday, with school in session, the teacher asked them to write in order from 1-100 and then write 1-100 skipping by 2s. She came home so proud of herself, saying that she did it and she finished first. The confidence she exuded and the pride she felt was something I had never seen. I have her in Math and Reading at Kumon and in just 2 months, her aptitude and confidence is evident. I plan on keeping her in Kumon until she has mastered her timetables. When she was enrolled in Kumon she could not finish a kindergarten assessment test and now, if she continues on this trajectory, she will be at Grade 2 level (Kumon Grade 2 level) by early next year. We started attending Kumon, here in Elmira, with our 4 year old in July and it has been a wonderful experience. Carol is a gifted teacher and has a way with kids. Our daughter loves her work books and wants to do them everyday and can't wait to visit Miss Carol and get some one on one help. Thank you Carol for opening this invaluable resource in Elmira.

I highly recommend this Kumon Center because the instructor has very high standards and she is a committed educator. This is an excellent place to improve your child's Math and English language skills.

Kumon is an excellent program! It helped improve my sons' confidence, and they 're much better at staying focused on their work. Carol is an experienced teacher, and she is patient and encouraging with her students.
