Go see a play. This was my first ever. Great spot and you can make a weekend of St Jacobs for sure.
Beautiful playhouse, small enough to feel you are close to the stage no matter where you sit, keeps you engrossed in the action. Staff are always great. Play was superbly directed and acting was spot on. And what may seem a trivial part of the whole experience, but quite important none the less, plenty of parking! Always enjoy coming to this playhouse.
This theatre is amazing. There is not a bad seat in the place. The sound is clear and the seats are comfy. The plays I've seen here are top notch...as good as anything you would see on Broadway. I love this place!
2019 - Sleeping Beauty: The Panto. Going to a Panto is rapidly becoming a Christmas tradition for our family. The production this year is one of the best we've ever seen. The music was fun and catchy and they have some really powerful singers. We love how they interact with the audience: there were a number of times when they were clearly adlibbing in response to audience participation. The actors seemed to really be enjoying their work as well. Highly highly recommended.
Beautifully constructed, accessible building featuring both excellence in craftsmanship and exposed beams. The box office is easily located upon entering the theater and the refreshment stand stocks both a variety of snacks and drinks.
The theatre and stage occupy a large space with comfortable floor seating and several balconies; every seat offering a great view of the stage.
It was a joy to attend a show at this theatre in early October. Parking very near to the entrance was available, and the lobby did not feel congested as we awaited entry to the theatre to access our seats.
I would enjoy the opportunity to attend the St Jacob's Country Playhouse again.
