Blown Away Glass Studio

After months of lockdown, we were able to take advantage of our "One Hot Date" booking. We had a fabulous time with Tim, he took great care in fully explaining each step and gave us just enough guidance so we created something we were proud of but didn't feel like he did it for us.

It's a truly unique experience, and although I was a bit anxious at the beginning felt completely comfortable while trying something new!

Afterward, Tim gave us lots of great meal suggestions and even parking tips so that we could enjoy the day trip to Elora. When we came back to pick up our finished pieces, he remembered much of our conversation from the week before which made us feel valued as a client.

If you are looking for an experience that is unlike anything you've ever done, it is totally worth it!

I loved making the paperweight and drinking glass. The 2 hour class just flew by!

They made my 2 Memorial Pendants for me whith my Dad's ashes and I love them!! I wear them regularly and have received compliments on how nice they look. We will be ordering more from items from them in the very neat future. Super pleased!!

Great class to spend a day learning a new skill. It's pretty fast paced and it was over before we knew it but we had fun. You get to bring home something hand made. They also have a store front if you would prefer a custom piece. Worth a day trip to try out and see the town.

Katherine and Tim's hot shop is super fun. We went for their 'One hot date' and 'First base date' classes. The instruction was very thorough and there was just enough guidance to keep you safe and be there just in case, but still allow to you feel like you were doing things yourself.

The shop was really clean and organized and covid precautions were all in place (you get your own mouthpiece for the blow pipe and the shop is large enough to keep your distance and there's a bunch of sanitizer around).

Katherine also made sure we had plans for lunch, recommended a really great restaurant and even made us a reservation in town, which was a really quick and beautiful 10 minute walk.

Altogether it was a really great experience and definitely gave us a new appreciation for how difficult glass blowing is.
