Going to JMTraining was the easiest solution for my situation: I live downtown, and have no easy means of transit to a fitness joint outside of that area. If I can walk there, I will work out there.
I knew I wanted to work out because I wanted a healthy motivation to get up in the morning. Something that would make me feel better, both mentally and physically.
My first class at JMTraining was in PiYO with Jana. She is an incredible instructor; she is motivational and helpful.
Needless to say, I was hooked.
Now I go to JMTraining 5 days a week. One of those days I spend with my personal trainer, Kyle. He is such a fantastic trainer. Not only has Kyle helped improve and tone my body - and boy, has he! - but he’s also helped, whether intentional or not, with my mental health. I cannot sing him enough praises. I’ve been getting personal training with him for under 6 months, yet I am already seeing the results. My body is in much better shape, my skin is glowing, and I look and feel better, inside and out.
I can't recommend JM Training highly enough! When I first started @ JM, there was a wait list for personal training clients, so I bought a package of classes to tide me over. They suggested I start with the most gentle Back, Core and Glutes class and in the first 2 minutes, I seriously wondered if I was going to get any challenge out of it. Boy was I wrong! It doesn't look outwardly difficult, but the small under-developed muscles in your (you guess it!) back, core and glutes, will sing to you the next day.
After a few weeks, Jon had time in his schedule to fit me in for PT and I can honestly say that I have never had a coach as knowledgable or as authentic as he is. I quickly realized that before I started working with him, I had never done a proper squat or kettlebell swing! Now, I get so much more out of each workout thanks to his coaching and I'm better able to avoid new injuries. One of the most beneficial aspects about working with him though, is how honest he is about the struggles he and everyone goes through in the pursuit of fitness, to help you remember that you aren't the only one who hits walls or has a bad food day or skips a workout. If you want to truly challenge both your body and your mindset, the JM team are the ones to work with!
After only a few months of training with Jon, I was in the best shape of my life. After a year, I have far surpassed my expectations. Jon's personalized and multi-faceted approach is highly effective. His depth of knowledge and expertise is impressive and translates into results for his clients. After decades of hitting the gym, I have finally learned how to be truly safe and efficient; while also keeping things fresh and interesting. I highly recommend JM Training to anyone looking to optimize their gym time and achieve fitness goals they never thought possible.
Doing personal training with Madison was one of the best things I ever did. Having done personal training a few years ago, with very poor results, I knew that it is often expensive and not necessarily worth the money. But JM is! Training with Madison taught me, not only how to successfully train at a gym on my own, but also proper technique. The nutrition coaching is spot on. Her guidance, support and training gets you to your personal goals and gives you the knowledge and confidence to continue your fitness journey on your own. Everyone gets into fitness ruts eventually. JM fitness teaches you how to get out of them on your own.
It took a lot for me to go and try this new experience out and I am so happy I did this. When I first met Madison, we instantly connected - not only is she amazing at what she does, but she makes you feel comfortable and at ease. We take our training sessions seriously, but we also get to know each other and have a couple of laughs as well.
Madison has given me so much knowledge when it comes to food, exercise and health and I’ve been taking it all in as I go. I am so grateful for the changes I see in myself; physically, emotionally and mentally and I will continue to grow and it’s because of Madison.
