The Puppy Tutor

Leslie is amazing! She is so knowledgeable, responsive, pleasant and easy to work with and has made our experience of getting through the early puppy days so easy. People tell us how well behaved our dog is all the time! Being from Waterloo, all of our sessions were virtual. I was impressed how incredibly effective this model was. The ability for her to show us techniques with her dogs in addition to ours was a real plus. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Leslie is a terrific teacher... and her email summaries make the lessons last forever! The investment in her tutoring - worth every penny. (And, I am normally not inclined to part with my money! LOL)
It was important to me to not raise a neurotic dog, by becoming a frustrated and confusing owner. And I wanted a dog people liked being with.
Would have been, IMHO, unfair and damaging to my new puppy if I didn't learn how to help her overcome impulses and become a well socialized canine, without me ever crossing over into insensitive treatment.
Surprisingly, online lessons kept ME focussed and that's the important part... I'm the one who needed the training 😊.... on how to train my young dog.
And she's a joyful girl today... as we grow in understanding each other.

Leslie is an outstanding trainer, of both pups and their owners. We feel honoured to have worked with her. Intelligent, highly organized and as a trained vet tech she bring you value far beyond one might anticipate. Our KC Cavalier is a joy, still learning and we use Keslies extensive notes to keep in track. I cannot say how highly our family recommend The Puppy Tutor.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Leslie was amazing with our dog (and us). She had so many fun games that helped with training, even the kids were able to participate in the process. The follow up recap emails were also great for the things that my tired Mom brain would forget in between visits. We tried two other trainers before and accomplished way more with Leslie's guidance and in less time. Would highly recommend

I met Leslie about 6 1/2 years ago when I had a Ridgeback puppy. She was instrumental in helping me turn my puppy into a well rounded, socially responsible dog. I enjoyed my sessions so much that I am working with Leslie again with my current puppy. Leslie has a keen dog sense and I am learning so much! I highly recommend The Puppy Tutor.
