Skin Cancer Screening Clinic

Having had several skin cancers detected and removed over the years, I find it very helpful to have an accurate and easy way to follow skin changes without having to rely on my memory for comparison. I was apprehensive about the procedure but Nurse Wendy and Doctor MacPhee made the entire experience easy and comfortable. Thanks for providing this easy and accurate way to help me track skin cancer and stay safe.

A great experience at this clinic. All the staff were professional, knowledgable, helpful, efficient, and compassionate, with a healthy dose of humour in the mix. Their booking system was easy and appointment times were convenient. I would highly recommend this service.

My husband had received 3 melanoma diagnoses within a one year period from a dermatologist. We were both taken by surprise as to our eye we did not think the spots removed were anything out of the ordinary. His diagnoses left me feeling quite anxious about myself so I booked an appointment with my GP who examined me not finding a reason for a referral to a dermatologist through the normal channel. I asked if I could be referred anyway and I was advised that my request was not allowed under the current guidelines but she did make me aware of the Skin Cancer Screening Clinic. While there is a nominal fee to have the screening completed (which is tax deductible) I was more than happy to pay the fee and booked on-line the following day with an appointment very quickly. I found the examination completed by Nurse Wendy and Dr. MacPhee to be very professional and extremely thorough and when I left the office I had the peace of mind I was looking for. I feel one of the added bonuses of this method is that images taken of each mole are recorded on my file allowing a comparison to be done at all subsequent visits to check for any unusual changes.
I plan to continue with the recommended follow up visits and I would highly recommend having this screening completed by the Skin Cancer Screening Clinic in Guelph for early detection of any abnormalities.
