Small but friendly and great work

One of my Doc Marten’s was quite literally falling apart, he stitched it back together way faster than expected, for way cheaper than expected, and did an amazing job! Friendly guy as well, highly recommended!

I took my very expensive hand custom made VH carbon fibre hockey skates to John (if you are a hockey parent or player you’d understand why these were dear to me). It had a tear due to wear on the leather Luongo loop (high force enduring part where pads tie into skates).

It was under warranty but I did not want to have the down time in the middle of my season to ship it to Winnipeg.

John put a very professional patch stitched in by hand (through carbon fibre!) and after a year of hard playing three times per week, the repair looks exactly the same and the carbon fibre has withstood some wicked shots (including one from Al Irafrate!).

John had given me a solemn face and apologetically said the repair would be a lot at $20, which I gladly paid because I was expecting much more. And in retrospect for the performance it was a great deal. I am very impressed!
