I am very thankful I found Victoria Road Animal Hospital. In May of this year, I lost my baby bunny while in the care of another vet just hours after she was spayed due to a lack of care and poor judgment. It was a traumatic experience that made it difficult (almost impossible) for me to trust another veterinarian to neuter my newest bunny. I spent weeks and weeks researching rabbit savvy vets, using a list of recommended vets on a rabbit Facebook group and reviews on Facebook, Google and VetRatingz. I compiled a list of potential veterinarians with high ratings, reviewed their websites, and made a few appointments with my top choices so I could meet the veterinarians in person (really helps with building trust). When I met Dr. Harris, I immediately knew I would be able to trust him. It was evident that he was knowledgeable, compassionate, trustworthy, and most importantly, understanding. Dr. Harris and his staff were aware of my previous experience and were amazing at keeping my worries at bay. They felt my pain and they loved my fur baby (Moufette) like their own. Dr. Harris performed the surgery with the assistance of Tara. The surgery went great and Moufette was back to being his crazy self within 24 hours. They allowed me to visit Moufette as soon as he woke up from surgery and take him home only a few hours after, which was extremely comforting for me as I knew he would recover better at home. On top of all this, I was able to send a picture of Moufette’s incision directly to Dr. Harris when I was worried that it looked abnormal (of course it was just me worrying). It’s very, very rare that a vet will acknowledge that you know your fur babies best, and they did just that. So, thank you Dr. Harris, Tara, Michelle and the rest of the staff. You guys are a phenomenal team and I am incredibly grateful.

Oh my goodness what an amazing place. Our little girl Chloe loved visiting today!!!! Dr Harris you are amazing and I think Chloe loved you. The girls at the desk are also very sweet. My girl thanks you for helping her to feel better.
