Roof Trusses & Components (1973)

EDIT: one of the owners came to deliver my order today, was pretty pleased about that. They have updated their quotes which I think is great. Im happy to see they're making an effort to make sure customers understand what is going on and what to expect. Previous to the pandemic I had nothing but positive things to say about this company. In March 2021I Simultaneously ordered approx. $20,000 worth of lumber and building supplies from a local lumber yard and placed a fairly substantial order with Roof Trusses for floor joists and trusses. I put a deposit down and signed their quote as requested. Less than 6 weeks later I get updated invoices with a 22% price increase. I understand the market and what is going on, however any vendor I had been working with clearly told me if price in effect at time of shipment applied. None of the quotations or emails from RT stipulated it was subject to price increase at any time. I was told that it was due to sky rocketing costs on their lumber. What really bothers me is that my $20,000 lumber order that I ordered at the same time showed up at the exact same price that I was quoted in March. Details like that should be on the quote that a customer signs. There wasn't even any acknowledgement to my question about it not being on the quote and that they should add it.

I'm a homeowner trying to add a second story on my own. It was very hard to find a truss company that would work with me without an architect or engineer supplying my drawings (one company literally laughed in my face). Roof trusses & components were extremely helpful. Their truss guy (I forget his name) called me several times to offer his insights on my approach which greatly improved my final product. No one else I'm aware of would take the time to do something like that. They were fast to provide drawings for my permit application and were very responsive to last minute changes. Overall an amazing company!
