My experience with James during the prompt timing of my project was entirely positive. He is polite, personable, organized, and professional.
He took the time to explain the options of what and why something would be done. In particular, his experience with the removal and building code replacement of knob and tube wiring, with minimal damage to the walls and ceilings of a century old house, saved the cost of major refinishing. His price was very reasonable and came in well below expected cost estimates.

I was looking for a good and reliable electrician since my former guy had moved and I decided to take a chance on someone new. I can only say I couldn\'t be happier with Jim Shaw. The chain on my ceiling fan in the kitchen had broken off inside the unit.I was so frustrated as the fan had been running for 4 days and no one wanted to look at the job. I called Shaw and got an appointment the next morning. I was also able to get a quote on cost through sending an email before hand given the info I had provided. Jim arrived promptly @ 9;00.I found him to be very personable and knowledgeable. I had a couple of other small items that I had forgotten and there was no problem for him to look at those while he was here. I would have no problem recommending him for your electrical needs. I am very happy to say I am now able to shut my fan off with the new chain package.
