Lovely trails and my daily escape from work. If you could talk to my dog, he'd agree that is it great for running and marking every tree and rock. The terrain varies, depending if you take the straight route through the tunnel of trees, which is easy, or head into the woods and give yourselves a workout. My dogs always wants the workout, so I just follow.
A very nice area for both hiking and biking made even better recently with multiple added trails in the northern section of the forest, much of it even nicer than the original section.
Nice little trail easily accessed, fairly flat, tree covered and wide on the main trail. Side trails have elevation and more difficult footing not too difficult. They lead to a small dammed up pond and river. Can usually get parking at the side of the road.
Great for a short run or hike with some beautiful views over the valley and along the river. The trail loops up on one side for a gradual climb then connects by a short steeper hill to the other half that runs flat along the Eramosa River. Can be icy or quite muddy do bring appropriate footwear.
Strait trail with a loop at the end. Dense cedar provides good protection from winter winds and summer sun.
