A nice alternative to Coco which is more established. Drinks are ok. Service is slow. Decor is nice and comfortable.
Mixed feeling with this place. The quality of the drinks is good but it is very pricey. I can't believe they even have to weight the tapioca in each drink. It made the wait longer for each customer if they do so. Does they have to be so precise?? I was pretty shock when I saw it. Overall impression is ok. It is just a new way of making bubble teas to me.
Out of all the chain bubble tea stores I've been to, The Alley has had the most consistency in quality. The tapioca is firm and sweet enough, and the collection of different teas are good. I highly recommend the Royal No. 9 for anyone who has not had it before. However, The Alley focused on trees rather than tapioca drinks, so you won't find any mango slushes or the like.
This particular store is large, and the atmosphere is great. It is easy to spend 15 or 20 minutes here without feeling bored, and the place makes for a good hangout spot if you are close by.
One of the more pricier bubble tea options in the area but you can taste in the quality of your drink.
The menu is complicated to understand as their listed drinks are given names which don't always describe their flavour.
Gets pretty busy at peak times as I found staff had to explain/describe a lot of drinks to first time customers.
The Alley is a bubble tea place with pretty good quality tea. Their tapioca cooking skills is hit or miss, sometimes it's silky smooth and soft, other times way undercooked. They are rarely busy so I'm not sure where the fault lies. Environment is nice and staff is friendly. Prices are slightly higher than your usual tea shop.
Their signature drink called Deerioca is one made entirely of milk, with tapioca and some sort of hot syrup. It also comes in soy milk. It's pretty good. My go to beverage is their Iron Goddess Milk Tea.
The Alley is proud to offer tapioca pearls made by hand and with heart. The Alley welcomes you to watch as we prepare our tapioca from scratch: from the measuring, sifting, and mixing of ingredients to the formation of the pearl-shaped tapioca. Through this manual performance, we deliver soft, chewy tapioca available in various unique flavours.
(905) 534-8820 Interesting location for a bbt place as it is in a small local plaza. I have been to this location twice (afternoons) and I am always happy with da Alley as it is the only place I know that offer a soy bbt with deerioca.
