    My son has been studying at Hanway Music for over 8 months now so I think this is a good time for a review.

    Background: 7 years old and no prior experience before starting piano lessons.

    Pros: Teacher is very knowledgeable and supportive. Each lesson the teacher would let me or my wife know how he is doing and what he should be working on each week. The staff is helpful with scheduling and any other questions with the classes. The prices are fair with the other schools in the area. They only charge by lesson time and not by the level of the students.

    Cons: They are open only for 4 days a week, so plan your schedule accordingly. Make sure to call ahead before you book lesson as each teacher has a set schedule so walk in would be hard to schedule.

    Conclusion: Would recommend this school for friends and family. My son felt very proud of himself when he put on a “show” for our family members over the holidays.

    Daughter enjoyed her first lesson, the teacher was on time and ready. Need to call in and book a time before going as they do not take walk in’s.

    My guitar teacher Lorne was very talented and has a good experience in teaching the instrument. Being an adult student he was able to plan out a practising plan fitting to my schedule. Props!

    Good experience overall. The receptionist was able to answer all my questions over the phone and book a lesson time I wanted.

    Classrooms are generally clean, they use Yamaha piano's. Instructors were knowledgable and lesson time began on time.

    Would recommend this school to any friend
