Briarcliffe Inn

Beautiful location!

1 word......magical! It was our first time ever experiencing a bed & breakfast and we were blown away! There is a different serving for breakfast every day! My girlfriend are not morning-people especially on trips! But we made the rare exception every day for our 7 day trip. With one of the hosts being from England, we had an English breakfast on Sundays. I can say, the breakfast more than worth it! Breakfast was usually served until 7:30am but the contents of the breakfast were so delicious and plentiful we typically couldn't have lunch until 1-2pm!

The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating! Every morning, after everyone was served breakfast, the hosts would ask the guests what their plans are for the day and she would offer tips and tricks, sights & sounds and directions to get there!

The rooms were cottage style rooms that were very quaint and cozy and came along with a local soda and freshly made cookies. My girlfriend and I were easily able to relax, especially with the gentle breeze and stark moonlight blazing into our room nightly.

The hosts also offer a variety of picnic options for an additional fee, of course, that was prepared and packed by the hosts. The picnic was VERY filling and were not able to finish it until the following day!

The shared guest living room had an extensive collection of DVD's plus Prime & Netflix to enjoy at night but also had a Keurig with an assortment of coffees, teas and hot cocoa.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the location of B&B since it was so far from any homes in the area, we literally could not see another house from our window! They also have some free-range piglets and chickens that help them with the meal scraps and providing fresh eggs daily!

Our only regret is that the expectations for a B&B have been set so high now, we do not know if any other will ever match to our experience at Briarcliffe Inn

Fantastic location with great food and a wonderfully welcoming couple. Highly recommended.
