What a great place for oysters just off Brackley Beach. Brand new spot, still waiting for their sign, but the oysters and service couldn't be better. Also right on property is a Richards seafood shack if you want lobster.
I can't wait to go back.
We tried two types of oysters. Shucked oysters are priced around 2.25-2.75 per. Retail oysters are 1.25-1.50 per. The large oysters were really briny whereas the medium once had a hint of sweetness. Sauces (horseradish and hot sauce) are not much to write about. If you are doing any more than a handful of oyster, would suggest buying from the retail store and shucking them yourself.
Real good oyster, fresh and a good size variety. Good price! Grab them to go or enjoy them on the terrace. Would love to come back!
BEST OYSTER EXPERIENCE. DON'T MISS IT.
As an oyster enthusiast who actively travels across New England and the East Coast to seek out amazing oyster experiences, I found Brackley Bay Oyster Co. to be truly unique. It's an authentic sea-to-table experience - we ordered a dozen shucked raw oysters, and even before we finished the first order, my family and I ordered 3 dozen more. The MacMillan Point oysters were our favourites; each hearty, umami bite had a crisp, fresh flavor that was phenomenal. Met Robbie and Kendra, who are the friendly owners of Brackley Bay Oysters and we chatted about the changing PEI oyster landscape and the challenges associated with oyster farming. It was everything I was hoping for...and more!
It is definitely an opportunity not to be missed in PEI and I'm so excited for the opening of their new location in a week!
Will be coming back for sure!
Found this place just outside of the PEI national park. Definitely stumbled on a gem! They do retail and wholesale. Mainly oysters but looks like they had mussels, clams, and quahogs too. Learned that they actually ship to some restaurants in Toronto (like oyster boy) so we took the opportunity to try some fresh from the source. They do shuck for you on site and give you sauces! Oysters are priced by size. Very reasonable prices. You can eat them on their picnic tables outside. Very friendly staff. All of the oysters were very fresh and tasty! I will definitely visit again if I'm back!!
