The Phoenix House Inn

More than you could hope for. If you seek immaculate, tastefully designed space....if you seek breakfasts that are simply extraordinary...if you hope for a host that is friendly & accommodating & who will go a second mile to make sure you have what you need....this is the place for you. The Phoenix House made our week long holiday to PEI more than we hoped for. Centrally located, Phoenix House was our home base as we travelled the island. We loved every minute we spent at this B & B. Your expectations will be exceeded. Promise.

My wife and I stayed in the Maggie Room with our small dog and it was perfect. Well decorated and clean, with enough space for us all. We had such an awesome time we extended our stay! Tara is a wonderful host and has a beautiful place! Her breakfasts were so yummy and she was accommodating with dietary restrictions and used local ingredients! We were centrally located to see a lot of PEI and Tara had great recommendations. She was communicative and friendly and we would absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

PEI Hospitality at its best !

PEI can be one of Canada’s hottest destinations, so when I was looking to book last minute for one night I was concerned with finding accommodations.

When I spoke to Tara at Phoenix she had only one room available for the one night I needed, however there were not enough beds in the room. I mentioned to Tara that I was concerned that I wasn’t going to be successful in finding accommodations since I was looking so late, this is when Tara agreed to move a futon into this room if this would work for me.
After happily accepting Tara’s offer I discovered that the event would require a two night stay and again called Tara to see about adding a second night, the Phoenix however was completely booked beyond this one room for one night. This is when Tara went above and beyond what one would expect from any business owner, she told me she was going to call around to other B and B’s to see if she could find me accommodations in the area, in my mind this is just not something you ever expect for a business to help send you to their competition. Tara is 100% about the hospitality and ensuring your stay on the Island is the best. Very shortly after Tara called me back with great news that she was able to find me a spot that could accommodate me for the two nights.. Tara said she would gladly give up the one night I had booked with her so I could spend my two nights in the one spot.

So not only did she find me accommodation at a competitors but she willingly gave away business to ensure my comfort.

Without ever having stayed one night at Phoenix .. I can say that I don’t think you would ever find a more hospitable person than Tara which has to speak very highly of how she must treat her paying customers..

I do hope to make a trip back to the Kensington area again and without a doubt Tara and Phoenix will be one place I will be contacting..

Tara is so wonderful! She was an excellent host, cook, and friendly person to speak with! She went out of her way to answer our questions, squeezed us in last minute, and did everything in such a positive manner! Her home is beautiful, including the property it sits on. I would recommend staying at The Phoenix House Inn to anyone coming to PEI! You will have a fantastic time.

Tara is such a gracious hostess and her home is gorgeous! Everything was sparkling clean. Her breakfasts were delicious. She went out of her way to accommodate us in every way. We stayed in “The Studio” for four nights - it was so convenient to have our own little kitchen! We highly recommend The Phoenix House.
