PEI Potter's Cove

It was so, so lovely to meet Marilyn today and peruse her beautiful pottery! Her shop and studio is filled with gorgeous glazed cups of myriad colours: mugs, bowls - you name it - and she even has her own style of stunning Japanese ikebana vases to display cut flowers in. With 29 years of experience as a potter and pottery teacher, you can really see Marilyn knows her craft inside out. Her studio is attached to the shop and you get to see the kiln in action which is v. interesting, too. If I were on the island year round, I'd be signing up to one of her pottery courses in Charlottetown like a shot! Living in Scotland however, I'll have to wait until next summer when I'll be looking forward to booking one of the 1-on-1 pottery day courses she runs instead! If you're looking for a stunning piece of excellently made local pottery with v reasonable prices, then get yourself down to Cornwall ASAP. Marilyn is also super lovely and it makes such a difference being able to buy direct from the artist :) Thank you Marilyn, looking forward to next summer already and I just know my friend will love her salt bowl!

I reach out as I have a great collection of pottery. It's something I try and find unique pieces when I travel. I have a bowl that is my absolute favorite; it has 2 handles and is ideal for many things. So, I reached out with my request for 2 bowls. Wow, they are gorgeous. While there, I added a spoon holder and a macrame plant holder as well. I believe this little hidden gem will become my new favorite for pottery. I look forward to requesting more ideas
