Panmure Island Lighthouse and Gift Shop

Climbed to the top. Fantastic views

Pretty lighthouse, the ladies running the giftshop are a delight. Not the best spot ever for taking photos but still part of an enjoyable visit on the island.

The lady working there was sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable.
The view from the top of the lighthouse and the surrounding garden is beautiful.
The last floor is steep and narrow to access.
There is a nice collection of lighthouse lights, maps, and other interesting objects on the second floor.

A lovely piece of maritime history that allows visitors to explore every floor of this impressive structure. The panoramic view at the top is well worth the steep climb up the four flights of stairs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They provide a lot of details about the construction of the building.

A Pleasant Stop - We came across the Panmure Lighthouse today as we were touring the area and we were very pleased with this gem. First, the person working there was very pleasant and friendly and really made us feel welcome. We did the tour of the lighthouse and it was extra good in that she allowed us to take our pooch along to the top.

The lighthouse itself is a gem of a structure and it’s great that for a mere $3.00 per person, you are allowed to climb to the top and enjoy seeing the inside of the structure.

We were quite pleased.
