Letting kids throw pucks/balls around on the ice isn't safe for anyone. Especially kids who are just learning how to skate. It also takes the fun out of skating for everyone else which is why I left the rink early today. Someone is going to get hurt if this is allowed to continue.

Definitely NOT a place you want to attend an event in the summer time (as I did this evening, and many other times over the years) as there is ZERO A/C OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER. Add to that any kind of crowd (ie.bodyheat) and it is quite unpleasant. That being out of the way though... it is spacious and well equipped and has an on-site canteen. Staff are friendly and knowledgable and in the winter there are ice rentals available as well as family skate days etc. Skate sharpening available too. This past winter the town of O'Leary won the title of "KRAFT HOCKEYVILLE" so it will be great to see the upcoming upgrades to the sports center that are going to be done with the funds won!!😊
