Ernie's Charter Fishing - Bluefin Tuna and Deep Sea Fishing

Went down to the dock, talked with a guy and he mentioned Ernie, who was also on the dock. I went over and had a chat with Ernie and had a trip scheduled in 2 days, he fit me in between other charters on his day off no less. He picks me up at my RV and off we go. Steve, his brother, was the mate. We had an awesome trip. We talked, and we waited but that is what fishing is. We trolled, kit fished and drift fished. And then it happened…BANG! We were on and the fight was about to begin. In just under an hour we had it at the boat and I got to put the tail rope on to seal the deal.
I couldn’t have asked for a better trip out. This was my second tuna trip in 2 years and the experience with Ernie was like I had never fished tuna before. Top notch captian and crew. Well worth it for sure!!! Looking forward to next year, I will definitely be looking for Ernie for another trip!

Ernie was a great guide and captain for some lobster, mackerel and cod fishing with some sight seeing of the coast and wildlife around North Lake and East Point PEI. His boat was a nice size, clean and new. Would recommend for anyone looking to experience a working fishing boat and would do it again when we come back.

Such a great trip we had out on the water today. We did the deep sea fishing and whale watching. Ernie and crew were very friendly, professional and patient! Our blended family which consists of 4 children 11 and under all wanting to fish, they were extremely helpful to our kiddos helping them with their rods and taking fish off the hooks! Such a great experience. Definitely worth the drive out to East Point!

We had such a great morning with Ernie! We spent 2.5 hours out on his boat. Stopped to take nice photos in front of the East Point Lighthouse, spotted a number of seals, and visited 3 spots for mackerel fishing. We had such a lucky fishing day and caught something almost every time we dropped our hooks into the water. He even had kid-friendly snacks and juice boxes to offer halfway through. Big hit with our 7 year old+5 year old twins.

Just a few small notes for next time: bring cash to pay so it’s quicker/easier to pay when you hop off at the end and if you want life jackets for the kids, bring your own. We felt safe the entire time and had 0 issues, but just noting this in case someone would like them for their kids.
